For many decades, locals have been making the short, scenic drive into the Elkhorn Mountains to this beautiful 1,100 acre ski area. There are 3 ski lifts with 21 runs. 42% of the runs are rated "Expert and Advanced". Just 30 minutes from La Grande, the lodge at Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort provides a cafeteria, saloon and retail shop. Rentals and lessons are also available. To experience the champagne of 25ft. deep powder, book a seat on one of their snow cat tours.

Cross-country skiers will find 30 km. of groomed and track-set cross country trails.

During summer months, the resort is available for reunion and wedding events.

Spout Springs Ski Area
Spout Springs Ski Area is a fun, 400 acre recreation area for skiing and snowboarding. Located about 20 miles east of La Grande, on the Tollgate Summit in the Blue Mountains, this is a popular destination for La Grande residents. 2 chair lifts take skiers to 14 runs--- the longest stretching for 2 miles. 60% of the runs are rated "Intermediate" or "Beginner".

A free tubing hill is also a hit for families.

Cross country skiers will find 21 km. of cross country trails. Don't be surprised if you spot the Olympic Flag flying when you arrive. Spout Springs has the distinction of having been a Nordic training center for the United States Olympic team and the Norwegian jump team.

Meacham Divide Nordic Area
Meacham Divide Nordic Area is just 13 miles west of La Grande off I-84. The area is a system of x-c trails developed by a local ski club. No fees are charged to ski here, but donations are accepted.
